“I’m Derek Sayegusa, I’m a State Farm agent up in Manoa, and I’ve been a State Farm agent for about three years now. I’ve got two kids and a wife, we live out in Aiea in a condo.
“Back in 2012, I had made the decision to get solar back at that time. Unfortunately my association was a little tough to deal with, and the solar contractor that I had previously worked with didn’t have the infrastructure or the expertise to work with our association to get it set up.
“I happened to have met Mike from Eco Solar and he helped me work it out. We talked about what my options were. When you find somebody so knowledgeable about the product and willing to help out, it’s kind of any easy decision to make.
“We do have a limited footprint for our building, the association allows us only a certain amount of area, and so, regular panels I would have been looking at close to 22 panels. We got the amount of efficiency with about 15; it fit into our footprint and took care of what we needed.
“The impact of solar on our home is that our bill is 18 bucks! The way it has come down is we went we went from $230 bill down to $18.
“Our ultimate goal as a family is to move back into town, so if we do decide to sell at any point in time we’ve added at least $20,000 to $30,000 more of equity into the property. That’s going to help out on both ends.
“I would definitely recommend SunPower by Eco Solar to anybody. Where other companies couldn’t talk to my AOAO they were right there and they did it. Where other companies probably weren’t as communicative, these guys were on top of everything.
“I’d recommend them to anybody that owns a home. Go out, them a call, talk story with them, they’ll be able to help you out.”
